This is probably one of my favorites of my pictures, its just interesting.
I first of all have to start off by saying the whole idea for this photo was not mine. My dear friend jane, the girl in the dress and in many of my other pictures, is the genious behind this photo. She also made this dress, from scratch. Jane's idea was to use her dress with the same material that she used as the background. I, as the photographer, did my best to capture this. Please tell me what you all think and hopefully jane will have a site up soon that i can link on here so that any who are interested can see. Please let me know what you all think Check out another one of janes dress in this [link] photo CommentsAmazing photo. I'm in love with the pose of the model, she really makes the photo move around despite the static colours.
black and white was a good choice; if it was in colour, I think the disruption of the flesh tone would really ruin the pureity of the photo. good exposure and lighting too; it's not over loaded with shadow, but it has enough to get something effectual going in within the photo. It's classy-sassy in my mind. the pose of the model is enticing but the background tames it a bit. Lovely lovely work. you know how much i love this photo, i thinkkkkkkk........ it's got some of that good composition shit going on an shit but i mostly just like all the abstract black and whiteness an shit. PEACE.

Critiques
The dress is lined up very well with the background and creates a nearly seamless image.
There are a couple of things I don't like about this particular shot and those are:
1. The crop choice. I would like to see the models face in the photo.
2. The gray areas and gradients are kind of noisy. Not a big deal but for me it draws attention away from the overall composure.
The matching background/clothing thing has been done before but I think that you have a fresh take on it with this image. Great fashion photo!
